The recent oil spill in Guimaras reminded me of the themes adopted by FOTOFEST 2006 in Houston, Texas last April-May, 2006: The Earth Artists Responding to Violence.

Intel to cut 10,500 jobs, slash capital spending by $1 billion 
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Intel Corp. said late Tuesday it will cut 10,500 jobs, or about 10% of its work force, by the middle of 2007 as it looks to slash costs and boost profits amid stiffer competition from smaller rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc.
